The 3 points of objectivist metaphysics
Metaphysics
Metaphysics are philosophical questions of, what rules apply to everything that exists in this universe? And those the universe exist in the first place? And are there multiple universes? Metaphysics is also the starting point to any philosophical system, since it sets the up the realm in which all other things will be based, and return to, when checking the validity of any more complex ideas. The objectivist philosophy begins in metaphysics to, and it says there are 3 mean points about our existence.
Identity
If one looks around him, one sees many different objects of many different sizes, shapes, colors, weights and etc, and this is the realm where the idea of identity begins. The law of identity as its revered to many times in objectivist literature, says that if something exists, it is an identity, for the object is its characteristics. Let’s look at an object around us to see this, when reading these words one must do it by some means like an paper book or electronic device like an laptop, now if one after reading these words takes a moment and looks at that object, one will see many different characteristics, the book or electronic device will have some shape to it, most likely rectangular in this case, it will have a certain weight, felt when hold the object in the air, the object will also be able to do certain things and not others, an book or electronic device will not be able to float in midair on earth, and many more characteristics can be discovered. One can see now how objects one perceives and interacts with have a certain identity, or in other words they are something specific. The fact that an object is an identity, which is its characteristics, is true for everything in existence, all the objects around you have an identity which you can observe with your senses, and even objects that are not directly observable to your senses, like atoms, must have some number of protons and neutrons to be an atom thus it is an specific thing, an planet must be round for that is what must happen to an object of an certain size, thus it is an object with an certain identity. For something to exists it must be an identity or else it would not be any characteristics and thus nothing, or an nonexistent, which leads to the second Metaphysic axiom in objectivism, that of existence exist.
Existence exist
If an object exists, it is real, and as described above, we can know an object to exists, if it is an certain identity. Existing is being an identity, for else something would not have an identity, and thus would be an nothing in particular which is impossible, thus something having no identity is the same as nothing. Some man have raised the question of, would an tree in an forest with no man or animal to observe it, make an sound if it fell offer? The answer is yes, since an tree and the world around it exists and is an certain identity, which makes them do certain things and not others in certain contexts, so when the tree falls over, it will make sound for it will move and fibrate the air, according to its and the airs identity. Things exist and when they do, there is no other alternative, but for it to exist. Whether an conscious being like your self observes something or not, an existing thing is not depended on you being conscious of it, for its existence, since existence exists. Which brings us to the third point of objectivist metaphysics that of being conscious of that which exist.
Consciousness
To be conscious means to be conscious of something, for ells there would be nothing to be conscious of in the first place. Even tough objects that exist, exist independent of your mind, for you as an human to know anything, you must be able to be conscious of the thing you wish to gain knowledge from. What you are conscious of is an objects identity which is in relation to your senses. If you at an tree, the tree exists and is a certain identity, which in turn also means it will interact with light, which is also real, in an certain way which than can hit your eyes who according to their identity give you sight of the tree. To summarize, if you look around, you will see many objects are an certain thing, and thus are an identity, these objects exists because they are a certain thing, for if they were nothing in particular, they are a nothing, and if these objects dint exist, you could not be conscious of them either. To put the point positively, you are conscious of an world of objects that are an certain thing, these certain things exist for they can do certain things and not others.
Note:
One may have noticed that throughout the text, objects are revert to as being an identity, and not as having an identity, this is deliberate, for and object does not have an identity, as if it where something that can be put on an object or stripped off an object, instead to be real is it be something, thus to be real is to be an object of identity.
